New Year's Plans / Resolutions

I am planning on being more creative and active on this blog.
I want to do a patterns as I can.
These are my plans:
1) Bag / Tote pattern
2) Hat pattern
3) Scarf pattern
and for my Quilting friends,
4) Quilt Block pattern

I want to include other patterns as I figure them out.

I hope to also crochet at least one hat a week for charity. It may not sound like much, but I do work and I have to buy the yarn to make all these things I post.

Pansy Headband

Red Heart Super Saver leftovers

Frosty Green, Bright Yellow, and Amethyst

Old metal headband, plastic can be used, I was using what I had on hand.

Take green yarn and single crochet around the headband to cover it completly. Finish off and use needle to work yarn ends in.

With yellow, leave tail about 5 inches long, chain 2.

5 Single crochet in 2nd chain from hook. Finish off. Leave about 5 inch tail, cut yarn.

Join amethyst yarn in any stitch of yellow. *Chain 3. 6 treble crochet in same stitch. Slipstitch in same stitch. Repeat from * for next stitch.

**Chain 2, 4 double crochet in the same stitch. Slipstitch in same stitch. Repeat from ** 2 more times.

Finish off.

Work in amethyst ends and trim.

You end up with 2 large petals and 3 small petals.

Use the yellow yarn ends to attach pansy to the headband. I tied it on the headband then sewed the yarn ends into the green yarn.

Welcome to my Blog!

Hi!

My name is Sharon and I'm addicted to textiles. I truely enjoy crocheting and quilting. I work at a hotel on the night shift, so I usually have a little bit of time to crochet every night. I also crochet when sitting in waiting rooms of doctor offices. Currently I am on a bag kick. I have been making these little grocery bags. They are the perfect size when you areAdd Image running into the store for just a few things. They also make good tote bags for the 8 - 12 crowd.
This is a mini-bag , in blue, next to a standard size bag.
